JOSE MARTINEZ

Jose Martinez, hailing from Houston, Texas, embarked on his soccer journey at the age of 11 with Hicksville America Soccer Club. He went on to captain both Middle and Hicksville High School teams, and his passion for the sport shone through.

In 1997, Jose achieved a significant milestone by leading Hicksville All Stars to victory at the Disney Cup in Florida, all while playing in adults leagues in Westbury. His dedication to soccer education is evident through his extensive coaching qualifications, including 4 national licenses, three Spanish La Liga licenses, and a UEFA license.

In 2005, he took the reins as a head trainer for Coastal in Long Island, managing clinics and six travel teams until 2012. It was in this year that he decided to establish Pro Touch Soccer NY Academy, a venture aimed at implementing his own training methodology for both teams and players. The academy’s roots began in Jericho and have since expanded across Long Island.

Today, with over 30 travel teams, 5 academy teams, clinics, and private sessions, Pro Touch Soccer NY Academy stands as a testament to Jose’s commitment to nurturing soccer talent.

Jose’s contributions extend beyond the academy as he served as the head coach of the MACCABI soccer team from 2016 to 2021, earning the team the title of three-time defending champs in the northeast.

Additionally, in 2021, he founded Pro Touch Agency, dedicated to discovering young talent in the US, Colombia, and El Salvador, offering opportunities to try out and play professionally in Spain.

His message to the young community is clear: “Train Hard like a Pro.” Jose Martinez’s journey in soccer is a testament to the possibilities that hard work, dedication, and passion can bring to the sport.
